With the New Year upon us, I know many of you will be considering goals and resolutions for 2015. Without fail, some form of “getting healthier” goal is usually on the list. However you word it – – – lose weight, get stronger, lower my cholesterol – – – it’s always there. (As it should be, right!?)
Now, I don’t want to be all pessimistic on you – but stick with me for a second… One statistic that’s been flying around is that only 8% of people actually succeed in achieving their New Year’s Resolutions. So, I want to jump ahead and see if we can’t improve that number a bit.
What’s the most common reason people have for not following through with their healthy lifestyle plan? Not enough TIME.
While I can’t add any hours to your day, I might be able to help you see your big picture schedule and put you on a course that will help you find success and achieve your goals.
It involves some honest conversations stemming from just a couple of questions. Sorting out your non-negotiables from your optionals; identifying what’s urgent, what’s not, and what just seems urgent. And plotting out your days and times – all while leaving plenty of margin for “real life.”
Here’s what I’m thinking…I’d love to help you plan a personalized, (flexible) schedule so that you can see where you can best fit your workouts in. Now, because I recognize my own limits and respect my own time and schedule as well, I’m going to have to limit this offer to the first 10 people who respond.
We can chat online, over the phone, etc. and I’ll pencil out a weekly schedule with you. Except it will be done in spreadsheet form not pencil (and color-coded too, because I’m just a nerd like that :))
There’s no cost or charge or hidden strings or anything. I just love helping people see where their time is going – and possible ways to squeeze a little more exercise in their days. And, I’m not trying to be a professional life planner or organizer or anything like that. Just think of it as a Type-A, schedule-oriented friend helping you see your weekly blocks of time in a new light.
Now don’t get me wrong, I never follow my own weekly schedule to the minute. Life needs to be flexible enough for interruptions and divine interventions and all of that fun stuff too. But I find that simply having a general plan helps keep life running fairly smoothly.
John Maxwell says time needs to be budgeted just like your money. You have to tell your time what to do or you’ll wonder where it went. Without a plan, your days end up wasted away without accomplishment, leaving you feeling exhausted and worn. So if you can orchestrate your days with some semblance of a plan, you may just find yourself feeling energized for more than one reason!
If you’re interested in discussing your personalized, weekly time management plan, comment below or send me a message. (Remember, I’ll need to limit this to the first 10 people to respond.) Looking forward to helping you organize your time so that you CAN be one of the few who achieve their New Year’s Resolutions.
