Oh, the irony. The first Five Minute Friday I participate in is focused on finishing. Hmmm… Perhaps it’s a sign? I don’t really think so, but I’m trying to keep my eyes and heart open to everything on this journey.
A journey where I really don’t know what I’m doing. A journey where I’m learning as I’m going. A journey where I only want to listen to His nudging and obey His prompting.
Four years ago I considered starting a blog focusing on faith and fitness. But after finding a couple blogs that already seemed to handle that topic well – (I know, it’s not supposed to matter… there’s always room for a different voice) – I changed my mind. (Or chickened out, whatever you want to call it).
Plus, we had our second baby after moving a thousand miles from our home and family. A thousand excuses. No time for a blog.
Then, just a couple months ago, God planted the seed again. I checked back in on one of the blogs I had referred to earlier – and what do you know? She had just FINISHED. Her finish was the signal for my beginning.
I don’t know how long this will last for me. I’m a realist. I know it won’t be forever. But I hope that somewhere in the path between here and that finish line, I’ll do a little good.

Thanks so much! That’s a lesson I’ve been learning over the last year in many areas. Whoever needs to … will be there. Sometimes disappointing if you focus on numbers, but freeing when you consider impact.

You sound so much like me – from the comparing blogs to time off. It is a struggle for me to be focusing on what Gos wants for each season, but He is faithful and gives me whispers of “Follow me and Join me!” – I am learning it is not Jesus saying, “Go on ahead and hopefully I will bless!”
