Anyone growing weary? If you’re participating in the Challenge, the fun and excitement of the first two weeks has possibly worn off, and now you’re faced with the decision of whether you’re really going to follow through. The second half is often the hardest, but the most rewarding as well.
Here’s the thing – you are doing good. (Grammar police may say “doing well” or “doing a good job” but, I digress…) Exercising and eating nutritious foods are definitely creating positive changes. Do you see those changes yet? Probably not.
Please remember that health and fitness is a never-ending journey. It’s a lifestyle. It’s not about a number on a scale. It’s about taking care of and respecting your body, your temple.
So what will you reap? What will be your rewards? How about self-confidence, strength and stamina to live life more fully, less sickness and disease, more energy, better sleep – and maybe some new clothes when you realize your current wardrobe no longer fits quite right.
What’s the one condition? Not giving up.
Everyone has excuses. But here’s my challenge for you: Let’s REFUSE THE EXCUSE. Your mind can come up with every reason under the sun to sabotage your hopes for a healthy lifestyle. Simply refuse to accept them.
Make exercising and eating well priorities. Nonnegotiables. No Matter Whats.
Bottom line: Persevere. Even when you’re tired, and you will feel the rewards.
